Irina Pogadaeva is 54 years old. She is from Brest. She worked at a local library as a bibliographer. Judging by social networks, she has two children.

At the end of January 2024, when she was tried for “distributing extremist materials.” At the end of 2023, she was included in the “extremist formation.” This was recognized by the Facebook community “Letters of Solidarity Belarus 2020”, in which people exchanged letters from political prisoners and also discussed helping prisoners.

In total, the case involves more than thirty episodes in which a woman sent money to political prisoners in pre-trial detention centers in Minsk, Gomel and other cities of the country. Basically, we are talking about amounts of 4-5 rubles. In just less than a year and a half (from August 2021 to December 2022), Irina sent 188 rubles. This was enough to initiate a criminal case and arrest in May 2024.

Previously, Elena Timoshchuk collaborated as a freelancer with the regional publications Vecherniy Brest, Brestskiy Kurier, Brestskaya Gazeta, the online publication Virtualny Brest, and the Brest Green Portal.

As local journalists note , Elena Tymoshchuk did not prepare publications on political topics during her collaboration with independent publications. Sometimes she wrote advertising articles and wrote on psychology topics, as she has a higher education in this specialty.

Alexander was a reserve lieutenant colonel, served in the 38th separate guards airborne assault Brest brigade of the Airborne Forces. Recently, he worked as an individual entrepreneur, engaged in food additives. As sources told the publication , Alexander Kulinich died on April 9, 2024, in the Brest pretrial detention center due to ischemic heart disease: this cause is indicated in the death certificate. In Brest pretrial detention center No. 7, journalists were told that they had a prisoner with that name, but they refused to confirm the fact of death.

It is known that Alexander was detained for comments he left in 2020. This happened on February 29, 2024, in the village of Dorogovo, Korelichi District, Grodno Region. On March 1, the "repentant" video appeared in one of the Telegram channels close to the security forces. But it contained footage of the detention from an apartment building. Relatives and friends of the deceased say that the video from the apartment is not Alexander. And later in the video, Alexander himself says that he was detained "for comments on the Internet." "In one of the accounts, I wrote "cattle" under the president's speech," the man explained.

Alexander Kulinich was buried on his birthday, April 11, 2024, in his native Molodechno.

The case was heard by Judge Marina Skalkovich from April 16 to May 31, 2024.
