Egor is a former investigator, worked for the Investigative Committee for more than six years, dealt with economic crimes. In 2019, he quit, took up sports analytics and planned to move to IT.

On June 11, 2021, he was detained in a criminal case initiated under the article “Active participation in actions that grossly violate public order,” and on October 8 of the same year, he was sentenced to imprisonment in a penal colony.

The basis for the charges were photographs from the Marches of August 23 and 30, 2020 in Minsk, which were given to the security forces by a man who had previously been involved in a case investigated by Yegor himself.

According to human rights activists, he was released in the summer of 2023, having fully served the sentence imposed by the court.

Ilya was detained in October 2020 and convicted of participating in a protest against the falsification of the presidential elections, which took place on the night of August 9-10, 2020. According to the prosecution, he was on the roadway near the architectural complex "Minsk - Hero City" and participated in group actions together with other protesters. He was also accused of shouting slogans, loudly clapping his hands and disobeying demands to stop such actions. Ilya himself only admitted the fact of being present at the scene of the events, but denied that his actions could have led to the stoppage of public transport.
