Accomplice to crimes against the rights and freedoms of citizens of Belarus. Svistunova Valentina Nikolaevna is an employee of the judicial authorities involved in politically motivated repressions, in which thousands of peaceful demonstrators, several hundred journalists, human rights defenders and activists were detained and subjected to violence. She handed down guilty verdicts in politically motivated cases, where she imposed penalties in the form of a fine totaling at least 8,100 rubles and administrative arrest for a total period of at least 61 days. Massively issued decisions to bring to administrative responsibility under Article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offenses participants in peaceful protests, starting in June 2020. Tried participants in solidarity chains in July. Previously known from the trials of participants in the founding assembly of the Belarusian National Congress and participants in the silent action in 2010. Included in the recommended list of persons for the imposition of individual sanctions by the EU.
