Former head of Intex-Press. Intex-Press was the largest and most successful independent regional media outlet in Belarus, but the authorities crushed it in 2021.

After the authorities liquidated the largest regional publication, Intex-Press, in 2023, Yanukevich and Pokolenko created the regional news portal bar24.by. In December 2024, bar24.by's editorial office and employees' apartments were searched, and some employees were detained.

Yanukevich was sentenced to 14 years in prison and a fine of 135,000 rubles (approximately 40,000 euros), while Pokolenko was sentenced to 12 years in prison and a fine of 45,000 rubles (approximately 13,000 euros). Volodymyr Yanukevich, 65, served as director and editor-in-chief of the independent regional newspaper Intex-Press. Andriy Pokolenko, 44, served as deputy development director for the same media outlet. After the newspaper's closure, they created the news website BAR24. The website went down in January 2025.

Earlier, the Investigative Committee reported details of the prosecution of Krasnyansky. The agency claimed that the man prepared a study for one of the foreign organizations containing "deliberately false information about the country's health policy in terms of measures taken to combat coronavirus infection." It is known that two women were detained along with Yevgeny Krasnyansky: Minsk residents aged 37 and 43. They allegedly conducted a sociological study on the presence of advantages among citizens in the development of the country through integration with the countries of the European Union. He worked as a taxi driver. He is a father of many children, with six children from two marriages.

He was detained in connection with a terrorism case. He was severely beaten during interrogation (Viktor even had his arm broken). According to the KGB, Viktor Yaskich and Yevhen Gruk were convicted under Article 289 of the Criminal Code (act of terrorism) and Article 295 of the Criminal Code (illegal actions involving firearms, ammunition, and explosives). Their arrest became known in early April 2024 from a report on ONT. According to the propagandists, security forces detained at least 12 people, including Gruk and Yaskich, accused of smuggling explosives and planning terrorist attacks. According to the reporter, Gruk was an informant for the SBU: he photographed military equipment and transmitted its coordinates. Gruk was then ordered to retrieve the explosives from a hiding place. Yaskich gave Gruk a ride to the hiding place. Subsequently, the two were supposed to distribute the explosives from the hiding place to new hiding places. An anarchist activist was detained while crossing the Belarusian border on the night of October 28-29, 2020, and charged with "arson" and "terrorism." He had previously served a five-year sentence under Article 295-3 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus and was released in 2019.

On October 29, 2021, in Gomel, Sergei was sentenced to one year in prison for "violating the terms of supervision" under a previous political article. In March 2023 and September 2024, he was convicted twice of "malicious disobedience to the demands of the penal colony administration."
