According to human rights activists, Oksana was detained at the end of December 2022.
She was a member of the core team of the Coordination Council. In June 2021, she was detained during the premiere of the production “White Rabbit, Red Rabbit” and was released after drawing up a report. In May 2021, her apartment was searched.

Oksana was tried together with political prisoner Bohdan Korovets , founder of the Astronim company and the White Square advertising and marketing festival.

Oksana Zaretskaya’s father has health problems, Bogdan is raising a child with a disability.

According to human rights activists, Oksana felt unwell after the verdict was announced and was hospitalized. The woman spent at least three days in a coma, and after some time she was returned to Volodarka. The pre-trial detention center doctors did not provide proper medical care to Zaretskaya, and did not even take valerian for her in the packages from her relatives.

Alexandra works as a manager at the logistics company Trans Solutions. The reason for the arrest was her photographs on Tinder, where she stands on the road with a white-red-white flag during one of the protest marches in 2020. The publication about the arrest appeared in one of the unofficial telegram channels of security forces. In 2021, she publicly announced that she was leaving journalism. She explained her departure by saying that she had already had enough of being persecuted for working without accreditation. According to police reports, the courts punished the journalist with administrative fines more than forty times, including for covering post-election protests. Only one day was not assigned, since Shchiryakova was raising a minor son alone.

While in a neighboring country, she tried to donate $16.71 from her Belarusian bank account via Internet banking to the Kalinovsky regiment, but the transaction did not go through.
