Pavel is a physicist. In 2007, he graduated with a master's degree in laser physics from the Belarusian State University and holds a PhD in physics and mathematics. Two years ago, he found work in Poland and received a work permit, but he traveled home occasionally. During one of these trips, he was detained .
For nearly 16 years (from 2007 to 2023), he worked at the Institute of Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, rising from junior research fellow to researcher. His scientific portfolio includes 33 publications and participation in the development of laser systems and optoelectronics.
He was released in early May 2026, having served his entire sentence.

So try to avoid:

👉 statements against the authorities and public servants
👉 foul language
👉 discussion of the circumstances of the criminal case
