Elena is the wife of political prisoner Alexander Sharabayko, a bodybuilder from the deep, sentenced to 6 years in prison.
His wife, Elena, was convicted of participating in a peaceful march, as were a number of residents of Glubokoye. Last fall, a police raid took place in the district center, during which security forces detained at least 20 people. While searching the phones and computers of those detained, police identified several other participants in the public protests from photographs.
