It is known that the man was under house arrest before the trial.
Bychinsky was found guilty of disrupting a picket against the actions of the Polish authorities to demolish monuments to the soldiers-liberators of the 1941-1945 war. It was held on April 19, 2022 by activists of the local «Belarusian Republican Youth Union» near the Polish consulate in Brest.
The state prosecution was sure that Bychinsky grossly violated public order and expressed obvious disrespect for society, acting with exceptional cynicism. In particular, he shouted insulting statements, as well as remarks using obscene language towards the picket participants.
It is known that, passing by a picket where activists shouted: «We are proud, we remember»; the man shouted: «Without Lukashenko!».
On January 30, 2024, he was released upon expiration of his sentence.
